This course surveys and examines selected problems and opportunities facing the United States in the 20th century and early 21th century. Students analyze significant topics of social justice, diversity, economic, and political changes in the US since 1940

Course Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

1. Compare and contrast the experiences of various groups of people and political parties in recent U.S. history. 2. Students will demonstrate the ability to locate, evaluate and apply research information by writing or creating a historical research project.
