The M.S. Ed. in Adolescence Social Studies program at SUNY Brockport is designed for individuals who hold (or will soon hold) an initial-level NYS teaching certificate in Social Studies, grades 7-12.
 
The program leads to both a master's degree and professional-level teacher certification. This M.S. Ed. in Adolescence Social Studies program may be completed entirely online or through a mix of online and in-person coursework, as candidates prefer.
 
Candidates may also transfer up to 12.0 credits completed with grades of B (3.0) or higher from other accredited institutions, identified by and in consultation with their advisor and subject to approval by the department.
