The Instructional Design and Education Technology, M.S. is a fully online 30 credit-hour graduate program offered through the department of Business Administration. Courses in this program emphasize the creation and management of highly engaging in-person and online learning environments. Students will engage in hands-on, minds-on learning in courses that are designed around research and applied best-practices from a variety of fields, including Learning Sciences, Education, Adult Learning Theory, Curriculum & Instruction, Digital Literacy and Educational Technology. All theory is coupled with real-world application and examples, and students implement and evaluate their designs in authentic learning environments. The skills and competencies in the program are fully aligned with the roles and responsibilities of practicing instructional designers.
